What the Community License is
The Community License is how qualifying nonprofit organizations use the core Inclusion Forward platform: a public Impact Ledger, allocation and outcome tracking, plain-language Impact Reports, and donor participation — with no software licensing fee. It is a transparency and participation layer that sits alongside your existing systems; it does not replace them.
Who may qualify
A registered charity or nonprofit in good standing, with a program you can describe in concrete terms and outcomes you're able to record as they happen. Size isn't a factor — small organizations are exactly who this was built for. Qualifying is about how you operate:
Radical transparency — You're willing to show donors exactly where money goes — contribution, allocation, and outcome — not just a year-end summary.
Donor participation — You involve supporters in voting on which initiatives get funded each year, and you publish the results.
Real-time reporting — Your financial and operational data stays current and available at a moment's notice, not compiled once a year.
Honest reporting — You name outcomes clearly, including when an initiative falls short of what you hoped.
What is included
- Public Impact Ledger built from your organization's own contribution records
- Allocation and outcome tracking for each initiative
- Plain-language public Impact Reports, updated continuously
- Donor participation and initiative voting
- Your own organization page and shareable report links
What an organization must provide
An established method for receiving contributions and the authority to connect appropriate contribution records to the platform. Stripe provides the standard integrated path; organizations using other fundraising or payment systems can discuss integration options during onboarding, evaluated case by case. You'll also want someone on the team who can keep initiative and outcome data current.
What remains under the organization's control
Everything that matters most. Inclusion Forward does not collect or distribute contributions. The organization retains control of its funds, programs, and existing financial systems. Inclusion Forward provides the transparency and participation layer that helps supporters see progress, follow the work, and stay connected to its impact.
Optional implementation and support
Organizations may operate the platform independently. Optional professional services — implementation, migration, integrations, training, and managed technology — are available through Empowered Solutions and may carry costs. Sponsored support can cover those costs for organizations that need it, but a sponsor is never required.
How an outside supporter may help
You don't have to represent a nonprofit to help move transparency forward. If you know an organization that could benefit from Inclusion Forward, you can express interest in supporting its onboarding, implementation, or participation. Any contribution is made directly to the participating organization — not to Inclusion Forward — and the organization retains control of its funds.
What happens after submitting a request
Step 1
You submit a request
A short form about your organization and your interest. This is a request for consideration, not a completed application.
Step 2
We review together
A conversation to confirm the values fit and walk through what publishing this level of detail actually means for your team.
Step 3
Setup
You connect your organization's own contribution source — Stripe is the standard path — and we help you structure initiatives, allocations, and outcome measures.
Step 4
You go public
Your Impact Ledger goes live, and reporting becomes something that happens as you work rather than at year end.
Full onboarding is not yet live. Submitting a request is not a completed application — it places your organization in line for consideration as the program opens.
